69 Years Young — Happy Birthday, Mom!

I want to take this moment to wish my mom a very happy birthday today.

I can’t believe (and neither can she) that she is now 69 years old!  If you knew her like I know her, you would be surprised at how much she does.  Mom is pretty much the most awesome woman I have ever met.

For her birthday, I wanted to make Mom a beautiful card to let her know how much I care.  The note I wrote inside probably did a better job of that, but I’m only going to show you the outside.

The bling wasn’t in my original plans for the card, but I just wasn’t happy with the butterfly stamp I was trying to incorporate.  So bling it on, baby!  The stamp I used is from Creative Memories.

Making this card was so fun, I want to sit down and make a bunch more.  A friend’s birthday is coming up soon; what a great excuse to stay up late making cards!

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day!

  1. Awesome card! I use digital so much for my albums that making cards is a great way to still use my tools for “hands on” traditional. Thanks for sharing and happy birthday to your mom!

    • Hey, thanks for commenting!
I recently (like, in the past year) started doing digital scrapbook pages. Still dabbling in it, since I haven’t spent that much time doing it. I have about a hundred projects in some degree of progress.
“Hands on” traditional will always hold a very special place in my heart. There is just nothing like it. 🙂
