Today may be the first official day of Spring, but Winter left us long ago. There are signs of life everywhere.
Every day, I see our seedlings grow bigger.
I’ve never grown peas or spinach from seed (or at all) before, so it is very interesting seeing how they grow. The spinach leaves are long and thin while the peas are bushier. Nothing is growing in the kitchen bed yet, but I will keep you posted.
Yesterday, Mom took Violet and I into town for a birthday dinner. The trees and flowers are in full bloom down in the “low lands.” (Up here on the mountain it takes a little bit longer.)
Violet had to stop and smell the tulips.
And the blossoms on this tree (what kind of tree is this?). There were literally hundreds of bees flying around this tree! If I was really afraid or allergic to bee stings, I would have been running in the other direction!
It is expected to be in the mid-80’s today, the windows are wide open and beautiful birdsong is filling the air.
Welcome, Spring! I missed you.
